A Little Something For the Weekend

“Sometimes the most important thing in a whole day is the rest we take between two deep breaths.” – Etty Hillesum

Good morning to all of you lovely people in our fabulous Respira Yoga Community.

How do you find yourself this morning? Hopefully you bounced out of bed with the joys of Spring! It may be more likely, however, that you're feeling a bit lacking in energy, your joints stiff, your neck and shoulders achey. Are you craving some serious 'you time' to set you up to welcome the warmth and renewed vitality of Spring? Perhaps you feel like you could do with a good massage to release tension in your body and work out any knots?

Well, we have just the thing for you :-)

Introducing Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga uses long-held, passive style poses to nourish the connective tissues of the body, helping to increase flexibility, improve organ health and calm the mind. All poses are held in a lying or seated position and conscious breathing and mindfulness meditation is interspersed throughout the practice.

Yin Yoga works on the deeper energetic channels in the body, providing support for the immune system and bringing about vibrant health and higher energy levels. It opens up through the joints, the ligaments, the tendons and the fascia, rather than just the superficial muscle, helping to create lasting structural change in the body.

Whatever it is that brings you to Yin yoga, it will leave your body feeling open & energised and your mind totally relaxed.

Spring Equinox Yin Mini-Retreat - Sat 24th March

This Yin Yoga practice is designed to restore the nervous system and help release deeply held tensions from the body and mind. We will use blocks, candles, aromatherapy, organic, flaxseed eye-pillows and blankets to ease into a state of deep support and rest.

Suitable for all levels & recommended for anyone seeking stress-relief or a quiet space to unwind. This class is also a great introduction to Yoga and a wonderful gift idea for a loved one who you think would benefit from the incredible benefits of this ancient practice.

We begin with pranayama (controlled breathing) then a sequence of energy-restoring, floor based restorative & yin style poses, closing with a deeply nourishing & healing Yoga Nidra guided meditation.

So treat yourself today! By booking this class you can look forward to hitting pause on the fast pace of life and taking some precious time out to release through your body and relax your mind.
